Study on System Design and Optimization Method of Lunar Rover

Lunar rover's mission analysis is carried out and some obstacles in the design are identified.Lunar rover's system design and optimization method is proposed based on system engineering method and multidiscipline design and optimization method is referenced.The method is based on lunar rover's constraints;design and optimization is performed in two layers,system layer and product layer,and each layer is divided into three stages.The system layer focuses on system plan and its optimization,and the product layer focuses on equipment and assembly plan and their optimization.The application of the method on the Chang'e-3lunar rover design makes all specifications optimized in compliance with the many constraints.And the validity and rationality of the method is verified.The method can benifit to those spacecraft with complex functions and strict constraints.
