Rapid Detection of the Composition of Garbage in the Farming and Pastoral Areas in Tibet Based on Surface Sampling-Image Segmentation

Based on the vast area and sparse residential areas of Tibet,this paper presented a rapid detection approach to study the composition of garbage using surface sampling-image segmentation technique. We took pictures of the garbage and then used the software Auto CAD to calculate the areas occupied by different types of garbage. The data were analyzed as two dimensional index of the proportional statistics of garbage,which were used to study the composition of garbage,and classify the garbage by the degradability,material,origin and utilization. The basic information of the composition of garbage in the sampling site could be obtained at last.
