An Attitude Estimation Method Based on Magnetometer Measurement

This paper discusses the attitude determination problem of low earth orbit three-axis satellite working under the safetyhold mode.High reliability and low power expense of the measure devices are required in attitude determination.Three-axis magnetometer is used as the measure device.An extended Kalman filter is developed to estimate the attitude.The simulation result shows that the extended Kalman filter can effectively estimate and calibrate the attitude of satellite in safety-hold mode.
