大学英语教师科研状况调查分析

This paper is based on an investigation into the college English teachers’ scientific research situation in 2004 in the College English Department (II) of Yangtze University and an interview of some college English teachers there. The study shows that there exist many problems in college English teachers’ scientific research: lack of comprehensive understanding of the significance of scientific research; lack of scientific research methods; lack of proper evaluating system. With some suggestions, the paper is intended to help college English teachers have a better understanding of scientific research and provide some useful information to the related scholars and departments for further analysis and actions.
