On Jewish ness and its Changes of the Characters in Roth's Novels

Philip Roth is one of the best known Jewish writers.His novels have a certain effect worldwide and Chinese scholars have studied his works.This paper attempts to analyze the Jewish ness and its changes of the characters in Roth's novels by reading his four typical novels:Goodbye,Columbus,Portnoy's complaint,Ghost Writer,and Human Stain,thus try to illustrate how Roth becomes an American Writer who cares about American social issues from a Jewish writer who cries for the Jews only.
