Prediction System of Typhoon Wind and Wave in the South China Sea Based on GIS

Aiming at integrating the wind field and ocean wave numerical model with the Com GIS,a prediction system of typhoon wind and ocean wave in the South China Sea was developed.The system implements seamless integration for GIS and all phases of numerical model,including model preprocessing,model computation,model post-processing,and result's visualization.It is easy to operate and improves the efficiency of decision-making.After operational application for more than half a year,the result shows that the system is good.
