A Dual Field of View Optical System for Infrared Uncooled Focal Plane Arrays

CHEN Lv-ji(Kunming Institute of Physics,Kunming Yunnan 650223,China)  
A dual field-of-view optical system for infrared staring focal plane arrays was designed in this paper.The operating waveband of the system is 8~12 m,and zoom ratio is 3×.The optical configuration is based on the axial motion of a lens group along the optical axis.The same lens is also used for focusing at near objects and for athermalization by very small axial movement.The optical system make mechanism and electron simplified,which have the advantages such as small size,light weight and little power consumption.The optical system image quality was evaluated with the ZEMAX optical design software.
