IR Thermography Inspection of Wind Turbine Blades

Wind turbine blade is one of the most important parts in wind power.With the raise of the wind generator power,wind blades are becoming larger and larger,and their reliability requirements increase accordingly.But there are no mature NDT methods to inspect wind turbines worldwide.This study inspected some typical defects generated in the manufacturing using infrared thermograhpy,and showed some preliminary results.As a large,rapid,non-contact and non-destructive testing technology,the IR thermography has some advantages and wide application prospects.
