Damaging evaluation of high-energy laser weapon to ballistic missile

The high-energy laser weapon in United States will be deployed in the approaching 20 years.As one of directed energy weapon,the laser weapon has the huge operation superiority in future war.Based on the analysis of the operation mechanism of high-energy laser weapon and the damage factor of missile shell that being irradiated by the high-energy laser weapon,a model of calculating the required time for damaging the attack ballistic missile is built,and the damage was analyzed when the ballistic missile′s shell of the body or the warhead was irradiated by the concatenation wave laser weapon.The above model as one of the effective evaluation methods of high-energy laser weapon′s damaging effectiveness can provide theoretical basis for the high-energy laser weapon intercept ballistic missile.
