EXTRACTION OF LIGHT RARE EARTH IN PICRIC ACID MEDIUM WITH CROWN ETHERS-1, 2-DICHLOROETHANE

Results on the extraction of La3+, Ce3 + , Pr3 + , Nd3+ , Sm3+, Eu3+and Gd3+ in picric acid medium with DC18C6 and DC15C5 in dichloroethane are reported on the basis of the extraction of picric acid with crown ethers. The extraction constants and the dissociation constants of extracted compounds in the organic phase are calculated. The first order complexing constants of the seven rare earth elements by picric acid are determined.
