Preparation of nano-ZnO by co-precipitation and the investigation of photocatalytic decoloration of methyl orange

Nano-ZnO powder was prepared by the method of co-precipitation with Zn(NO3)·26H2O,(NH4)2CO3 and NH3·H2O. The catalytic performance was tested by using UV (λmax=245nm)as light source and methyl orange (MO)as pollutant object. The influent conditions to the reaction such as additive amount of catalyst, initial concentration of MO, pH value and oxidant H2O2 have been studied as well as characterizations of XRD and SEM performed.
