A new labeling of fluorescent reagent for phenol——8-(4, 6-dichloro-1 ,3,5-triazinoxy) qoinaldine

8-(4, 6-Dichloro-1, 3, 5-triazinoxy) quinaldine (DTQD),a new fluorescent reagent for the determination of phenol, was designed, synthesized and evaluated and its ultraviolet and fluorescent spectral properties were studied. The labeling reaction of phenol in alkaline medium has also been discussed.
