Study on Viscosity of Non-ionic X-ray Contrast Agents

The viscosity of several non ionic X ray contrast agents were studied. The results shows that the viscosity η (mPa·s) of the contrast agent solution increased rapidly with the increase of the concentration c( gI/mL) of contrast agent solution. The relationship between η and [ c] 4 is linear: η=a[c] 4+b . Moreover, the viscosity (η′ ) decreased as the temperature is increased.There is a negative linear relatianship between viscosity and temperature η′=a′t+b′ .
