Component Content Analysis of Waste Grains and Waste Water Generated by High Pressure Water-Jet Cleaning HTPB Propellant

According to the corresponding standard methods,the AP and Al contents in the waste grains and waste water generated by high pressure water-jet cleaning HTPB propellant were determined.The results showed that the AP mass fraction in the waste grains below 3mm of particle size dropped from 69.50% to 35.28%,the Al and binder systems have also slight loss.The component content of the waste grains above 3 mm increased along with the radial depth and gradually tended to the normal charge.The mass concentrations of AP and Al in the waste water are 8 368 mg/L and 0.157 mg/L respectively.Based on the determination results,the treatment modes of the waste grains and waste water were selected.The appropriate treatment mode of the waste grains is to leach AP from the waste grains using the waste water as solvent and subsequently collect the solid residues as boiler auxiliary fuel.The appropriate treatment mode of the waste water is to conduct the ammonia-nitrogen treatment and remove perchlorate ion with the biological methods.
