A new spectrophotometry——the dual-system and double-wavelength spectrophotometry has been developed. The method is based on the selection of the wavelengthpair in two independent coloured complex systems. By suitable choosing R and L systems both the anti-interference ability and the sensitivity could be effectively increased, and its adaptability is better than that in the conventional double-wavelength spectrophotometric method. This new method has been theoretically deduced and experimontally proved in the simultaneous determination of Cu(Ⅱ), Ni(Ⅱ) and Cd(Ⅱ), Mn(Ⅱ) pairs.
