Solid-phase Synthesis of Nanophase Bi_2O_3 and Its Electrochemical Properties

LI Qing-Wen LI Juan XIA Xi CAO Ya-Li(Institute of Applied Chemistry, Xinjiang University, Wulumuqi, 830046)  
Nanophase Bi2O3 was synthesized by two methods, treatment of Bi(NO3)3·5H2O with NaOHin solid-state and decomposition of Bi complex prepared by reacting solid Bi(NO3)3·5H2O with 8-OH-quinoline. The crystal form, particle-size , morphology and electrochemical performance of nanophase Bi2O3 were examined with XRD, TEM, CV techniques and charge-discharge experiment. The results indicated that nanophase Bi2O3 exhibited higher electrochemical activities than common-sized Bi2O3.
