Selective Oxidation of Primary Alcohol from Methyl Glucoside over Pd/La_(0.5)Pb_(0.5)Mn_(0.9)Sn_(0.1)O_3 Catalyst

Pd/La0.5Pb0.5Mn0.9Sn0.1O3 was prepared and applied to the selective catalytic oxidation of primary alcohol from methyl glucoside.The perovskite supports and the catalyst samples were characterized by XRD,SEM and XPS techniques.The effect of different catalyst and different conditions of catalytic oxidation on the yield of glucuronic acid was discussed.The results showed that the supports with lattice defection by doping could improve redox ability to Pd active component due to the formation of oxygen vacancy.The total yield of glucuronic acid and glucuronolactone reached 60% at optimum conditions,and the catalyst had good selectivity.
