Adsorption Thermodynamics and Dynamics of Polyamide to Picric Acid

The thermodynamics and dynamics for adsorption of picric acid onto polyamide under static conditions were studied and the influence of temperature on the adsorption was also inspected. The results show that the influence of temperature on the adsorption is smaller, and that the spontaneous adsorption can be described by Freundlich and/or Langmuir equation,and the adsorption is a endothermal and increasing entropy process. The process of adsorption is mainly physical adsorption. The law of dynamics for the adsorption can be described by equation q= ae~(b/t). The controlling step of adsorption velocity is internal-pore diffusion process.
