The Relation Between Female Gonad Toxicity of Cadmium on Rats and the Expression of Estrogen Receptor in Uterus and Ovary

[Objective] To study the relation between female gonad toxicity of cadmium on rats and the expression of estrogen receptor (ER) in uterus and ovary [Methods] 48 rats (SD) were randomly divided into 4 groups base on body weight and were injected subcutaneously by the 4 dose levels (0,0.625,1.25 and 2.50 CdCl_2 mg/kg body weight) for 6 weeks (5 days/week,daily).[Results]① The period and interval of estrus cycle of experiment groups were longer than normal group,and the normal ratio of estrus cycle was decreased (P<0.05).② The organ coefficients of uterus,ovary and the positive rate of ER of experiment groups was similar to normal group (P>0.05).[Conclusion] At the experimen- tal dose levels,cadmium couldn't induce female gonad toxicity through ER expression.
