The conduction activation energies of w/o microemulsions in CTAB/C_4H_9OH/C_7H_(16)/H_2O system

The conduction activation energies(Ea)of w/o microemulsion in CTAB/C4H9OH/C7H16/H2O system were estimated from electric conductivity data of microemulsion at different temperatures.Variations of activation energy with water content(Φw) of microemulsion were determined.It is found that variations of Ea with Φw in w/o microemulsions were closely related to the occurrence of the percolation conduction phenomena.The influence of the cosurfactanttosurfactant mass ratio km and the initial oil content R on the maximum activation energy Ea,max was also discussed.
