Study on the photocatalytic degradation character of the immobilization of nanometer TiO_2 by active carbon

The photocatalytic degradation characterstic of the immobilization of nanometer titanium by active carbon and some factorsaffecting the photo-degradation of wastewater containing methyl-organge were studied.The results showed that the prepared TiO2-active carbon photo catalyst by sol-gel method had advantageous of large specific surface area,high dispersibility,good degrada-tion efficiency and capable of repeat use.Using 30W high-boron ultraviolet radiation,the photocatalytic degradation optimum con-ditions of wastewater containing1500mg/L methy1-orange are:the activation temperature of photo catalyst is 700℃,the amount ofphoto catalyst is 1.0 g/L,the wastewater initiative pHis 1,the reaction temperature is 45℃ and the radiation time is 50 min.Underthese conditions,the removing rate of methy1-orange and CODCris up to 99.8% and 99.7%,respectively.
