Preparation and adsorption of adsorbent for chitosan loading on kaoline

A series of novel Ch itosan Kaoline adsorption m aterial(here inafter abbreviated: CS-KLN) based on ch itosan loaded on activing Kaoline under d ifferent temperature was synthesized.Kaoline was calc ined at d ifferent temperature,the best temperaure to activate Kaoline was selected by determ in ing the coating rate of ch itosan on Kaoline.It is about 800℃.IR spectra of CS-KLN shows that the ch itosan load ing function on Kaoline attributes to obvious chem ical process,Th is process is the fram ework alum inum in Kaoline b ind ing Ch itosan into coat.The experim ental adsorption data of Cu2+reveal that the CS-KLN has the best adsorption capab ility at pH=5.2 and the saturation capac ity is about 158.3mg /g more than Kaoline wh ich is noly actived by ac id.At the sam e tim e,the adsorption pH scope of CS-KLN is 4 ~6 more extended than activing Kaoline.
