EYSENCK PERSONALITY QUESTIONAIRE(JUNIOR) USED IN CHENGDU

Eysenck Personality Questionaire(Junior) was applied to 720 normalchildren of 7-15 years old in the urbanand suburban areas of Chengdu. Theresults showed that there were signif-icant difference between the scores ofE scale in boys of the urban area andsuburban area and the scores of L scalein girls of the urban area and suburbanarea. In Comparison with boys andgirls, the mean scores of P scale in thevarious age groups of boys were higherthan those in the corresponding agegroups of girls, on the contrary, themean scores of L scale in the variousage groups of boys were lower, theresults also showed that the scores ofE and L scales in boys were increasingwith their age but such a tendencycould not be found in girls. The authorsemphasized that the application ofEPQ in Chengdu was a preliminary trial,some items in EPQ should be modifiedin order that the EPQ could be usedsuitably for Chinese children.
