YANG Chuan-sheng1,2,3,LI Gang1,2,GONG Jian-ming1,2(1 The Key Laboratory of Marine Hydrocarbon Resources and Environmental Geology,Qingdao 266071,China;2 Qingdao Institute of Marine Geology,Qingdao 266071,China;3 Shandong University of Science and Technology,Qingdao 266510,China)
To better understand the gas hydrate occurrence condition, reservoir characteristics and resource assessment in the northern slope of the Gulf of Mexico, based on the concept of gas hydrate-forming systems and existing research fruits home and abroad, the lost-equilibrium system is presented in this paper. On the comprehensive analysis of gas supply, fluid migration, accumulation and lost-equilibrium system of gas hydrate,we suggest that lost-equilibrium system should be taken into account as an important part of gas hydrate-forming system.
