THE VEGETATION AND THE TRACE ELEMENTS OF THE AQUATIC PLANTS IN YUNNAN FUXIANHU LAKE

The Fuxianhu Lake is the second one of the deepest Lakes in China. Its maxi- mum depth is 155m and average depth 89.6 m. The species, distribution, Yield and vegetational types of the aquatic plants in Fuxianhu Lake were investigated in the period of 1979--1981. The trace elements of the aquatic plants were also analysed by means of sampling methode. The main plant species as follows: Vallisneria spiralis, Myriophyllum spicatum, Potamogeton malaianus, Hydrilla verticillata and potamogeton pectinatus. The distri- bution of them is mainly in the south part of the Lake and littoral zone in Hai- kow and Jianshan. The aquaticplants in Yunnan Fuxianhu Lake have the characters exsisting in deep Lakes. The average contents of the trace elements in aquatic plants: Copper 7.1ppm; Lead 20. 9ppm; Zinc 33.9ppm; Nickel 9.1ppm; Cobalt 8.9ppm; Chromium 10.6ppm; Molybdenum 2.0ppm; Manganese 1229ppm. Iron 8635ppm; Tita- nium 808ppm; of which the manganese and Iron cotents are higher than other Lakes in aquatic plants. It means that the manganese and Iron contens in Fuxianhu Lake district are richer than those in other Lakes.
