THE PRELIMINARY STUDY ON THE ORIGINAL CLASSIFICATION AND DISTRIBUTION LAW OF LAKES ON THE YUNNAN PLATEAU

This paper described the forming classification, distribution law, feature, developing stage and forming era of lakes on the Yunnan Plateau. The origin of lakes which are deeply oontrolled by faulting structure on the Yunnan Plateau is made of faulting subsidence, but in some forming process of lakes degradation, alluviation and corrosion have been important affect, therefore these lakes may be mainly divided into fault trough, fault orossion, fault dissolution and fault alluvial lakes. The distribution of lakes is connected with Eastern Yunnan E Type structure (Yunnan arc). Lakes distrbute on fault belt of arch, links and ridge of Yunnan arc. These lakes being various developing stage, maintained different feature of lake. The forming times of lakes vary from each other, the era of southern part in Yunnan Plateau, in general, is earlier than the middle one, and the later is earlier than the northern part, so that the northern lakes are the latest, there is a tendency that the lakes are gradually bocoming new from south to north.
