A COMPARISON BETWEEN TWO DIFFERENT DEFINITIONS OF THE MIXLAYER AND THE THERMOCLI NE IN THE SOUTH CHINA SEA

Based on the different definitions of the mixlayer and the thermocline, the mixl ayer and the upper bound ary of the thermocline depth of the two sites of the So uth China Sea (SCS) are calculated and analyzed in this paper, at the same time, a comparison between the two different definitions are carried out. Finally, th e thickness of the barrier layer of the South China Sea and the West Pacific are obtained and analyzed.
