Effects of temperature and salinity on embryo development and larva survival in crossbreed F_1 of Paralichthys olivaceus(♀)×Paralichthys dentatus(♂)

The effects of temperature and salinity on the development of embryo and prelarva in crossbreed F1 of Paralichthys olivaceus(♀)× Paralichthys dentatus(♂)were investigated.The results showed that the optimum temperature and suitable range for hatching were 18 ℃ and 15~21 ℃.The embryo development time was shortened with the increasing of temperature in the suitable temperature range.The relation of development time(N)to water temperature(T)tallied with the power function,N=115.99T-0.766 8(R2=0.976 9).Biological zero and sum of effective temperature of crossbreed F1 were 7.54 ℃ and 540.1 ℃·h.The correlation between water temperature(T)and accumulative temperature(A)could be described by the equation,A=1 328.1T-0.314 9(R2=0.962 4).The crossbreed F1 embryos could develop at salinity 10~45,the optimum salinity range being 25~35.The suitable and optimum salinity range for prelarva survival were 10~40 and 10~20,respectively.
