In this paper, we reported the results of the effects of cuttlefish ink on Immunologic functions in mice. It was showed that cuttle Ink could promote the phagocytic activity of murine macrophages. There were significant differences between the test and control groups both in phagocytic rate (55. 8 + 9. 5% and 32. 1 + 5.1%, P 0. 01) and in phagocytic index (3. 12+0. 41 and 2. 38+0. 50, P 0. 01). It was also showed that the level of specific antibody against Meth A sarcoma cell antigen in the serum from the mice treated with cuttlefish ink was significantly higher than that from the control (P 0. 01),which indicated that cuttlefish Ink could increase humoral immunity.
