Objective To investigate the role of the squid ink in the recovery of immune function in the immuno-suppression mice. Methods Squid ink on the concentration of 5% at dosages of 0.1,0.25 and 0.5mL was intragastric administrated for 7 days to the immuno-suppression mice. The immune functions were detected on day 9.Results Administration of the squid ink augmented the proliferation of splenic lymphocytes and the killing activity of NK cells.Meanwhile,as well as increased levels of TNF-α,IFN-γ and nitric oxide in the culture supernatant of splenic lymphocytes in the immuno-suppression mice. Conclusion Squid ink plays critical role in recovery of the cellular immunity in immuno-suppression mice.
