Analysis of lipid component from Haliotis discus hannai ino gonad

Objective To ivestigate the lipid components which are rich in the Haliotis discus hannai ino gonads andresearch their differences.Methods Based on the mode of fatty acid existence,the main fatty acids compositions and contents were analysed by GC/MS based on different chemical derivatization methods and the phospholipids contents were determined using molybdenum blue color concentrates.Results While 47 fatty acids were determined in the male Haliotis discus hannai ino gonad,41 fatty acids were found in the female Haliotis discus hannai ino gonad.And the majority of polyunsaturated fatty acids were arachidonic acid and eicosapentaenoic acid.There were also some monounsaturated fatty acids,in which the content of 9-octadecenic acid was above 10%.The results obtained by different chemical derivatization methods on fatty acids exist in significant differences.This showed the diversity of fatty acids' molecule forms.By molybdenum blue color concentrates,the contents of phospholipid were higher in the gonads(above 3%).Conclusion The Haliotis discus hannai ino gonad has reusable value,and this could improve its added value and increase economic benefits.
