Practical Hydraulic Calculation of Egg-shaped Cross-section Non-pressure Pipeline

Egg-shaped cross-section non-pressure pipeline in the renovation and expansion of municipal sewage works has a wide application,hydraulic calculation for this section is still lacking of accurate and convenient method.This paper consists of four egg-shaped arc section(common egg-shaped cross-section) non-pressure pipes for the study,lists the equation of egg-shaped section in several procedures,directly use of the integral form of the function,solving the equations expressing the unity of hydraulic elements.The outfall water flow of the egg-shaped section can be obtained directly through substituting relevant elements into non-pressure hydraulic flow formula.It can also be applied by "dichotomy" trial or MATLAB programming to solve the cross-section and the free flow of critical depth and normal depth.
