Experimental Studies of the Propagation of Detonation Waves through The Bends

The propagating characteristics of detonation wave in propane air mixtures through a 90° bend were studied experimentally in the article. The main study is of the velocity and acceleration of the detonation flame before and after a 90° bend. We draw the conclusion that the acceleration of flame velocity along a length unit increased highly after the bend. The results prove the bends accelerate the deflagration or detonation flame obviously.
