DWDM Multiwavelength Light Source with High Stability Based on SOA

Zhang Ying Zhang Xinliang Sun Junqiang Liu Deming Postgraduate; Dept. of Optoelectronic Eng., HUST, Wuhan 430074, China.  
Based on semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) and sample fiber grating, a multiwavelength light source with high stability for dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM) system is demonstrated in the experiments of direct cavity and ring cavity structures. Stable outputs of multiwavelength channels, 0.8?nm wavelength spacing, which is 30?μW power difference between each channel, 0.3?nm bandwidth with high stability are obtained.
