Efficiency evaluation of machining trajectories by using S curve-acceleration mode

Geometrical model for basic curves of high speed machining(HSM) trajectories was built,including line segments,circle ones and non-uniform rational b-splines(NURBS) ones.Taking the minimum time as an optimized objective,kinematical equation group of velocity planning was proposed under the constrained conditions of S curve acceleration,a computer numerical control(CNC) controlling model without flexible impact.Statistical algorithm for total machining time was developed to compute machining time of each line segment,circle one and NURBS segment so that the statistic time can be used as an technical index of discussing the efficiency of high speed machining.
