General model for mutual-inductance of a bearingless motor

By means of analyzing the magnetic field distributing principle of bearingless motor,and based on the relationship between magnetic flux and windings inductance parameters,the general calculating model of mutual-inductance parameters of four-pole bearingless motor with two-pole suspension system was derived.The general model on mutual-inductance can not only be applicable to bearingless motors with salient-pole rotor,but also be applicable to beaingless motor with cylindrical rotor.Aiming at the bearingless induction motor,parameter experiment was made,and the experimental results have shown that the mutual-inductance varies linearly with the radial offsets within limited radial eccentricity of rotor,the error between measured value and calculating value is around 8 %.The reasons caused the error were analysed also.Within limited radial eccentricity of rotor,the linear experimental curve and its adjacency with the calculating value have validated the validity of the model.
