Canopy Precipitation Interception of Masson's Pine Stand in Lianxiahe Small Watershed in Three Gorges of Yangtze River

With data from stands of Pinus massoniana Lamb located at Lianxiahe small Watershed,an investigation into rainfall interception within these stands was carried out.The results showed that there is a linear regression between the throughfall and precipitation,a logarithmic regression between the throughfall coefficient and precipitation,a power regression between canopy interception and precipitation,a logarithmic regression between the interception rate and precipitation,a binary linear regression for canopy interception to precipitation quantity and intensity.Based on these results,a simulated model has been set up about canopy interception by making use of throughfall and stemflow rate,and rainfall intensity.The measurements show that the mode can forecast the canopy interception capacity of stands of Pinus massoniana Lamb well .
