Effects of different illumination on growth and physiological and biochemical characters in cell culture of Camptotheca acuminata Decsne.

Based on the young leaves of Camptotheca acuminata Decsne., callus were induced on the medium of B5 with the addition of 0.5 mg/L 2,4D, 1.0 mg/L NAA and 0.5 mg/L KT. Callus cultured under five different light wavebands (in contrast with dark), and the results showed: different light had different effect on callus growth (green light had considerable effect and blue had the contrary one). In different illuminative conditions, the contents of soluble protein, activities of peroxidase(POD), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and esterase all showed two at peaks; The results of electrophoresis analysis showed that the kind of acid proteins, isoenzymes of POD were both changed and correlative with the callus growth.
