Solid Phase extraction and high performance liquid chromatographic determination of methsulfuron methyl in polluted environmental air

A high performance liquid chromatographic method to determine Methsulfron methyl in polluted air is first described The method consists of solid phase extraction with florisil soil, and quantitation of the active ingredient with an UV detector The results of Methsulfron methyl identified in air samples,TSP and surface soil samples(2mm) in polluted environment have been satisfactory The minimum detected concentrations are 2×10 -5 mg/m 3 and 2×10 -3 mg/kg in air and surface soil respectively The recoveries are 80 5%~96 5% and 89 3%~105 1% in air and surface soil respectively
