PACS Based on Technologies of Image Code and Transmission

PACS plays an important role on diagnosis and treatment and its importance has been recognized.Because some key technologies have not achieved,it is still in initial phase in our country.A PACS that uses lossless compression and image transmission technologies is presented.The architecture,store strategy,and standards have been described.A lossless compression method based on the features of medical image and the method of image transmission based on TCP/IP is mainly discussed.Its actual run results show that design is reasonable,compression method has better result to medical image and transmission method can better supports point to many point communication between server and stations.
