Experimental Study of Biomass Gasification in Fluidized Bed Gasifier

Biomass (peanut shell) gasification with air in pilot fluidized bed gasifier was studied. Parameters analyzed included equivalence ratio 0.2-0.45, temperature of the gasifier bed 750-850℃ and unchanged secondary air in the freeboard. On the basis of optimal equivalence ratio, the gasification experiments were carried out and its results were reported.The heating value of produced gas was 6200-6800 kJ/m~3.The gas yield and carbon conversion were 1.28-2.03 m~3/kg and 53%-80.0%, respectively. The experiments of seven different biomass wastes were also carried out. The component contents of producing gases were: CO 14%-18%, H 2 6%, CH 4 4%-12%. The heating value of gas was 4700-7100 kJ/m~3.The experimental results show that in fluidized bed gasifier, the addition of secondary air can improve quality of product gas.
