Effect of DO on removal efficiency of N,P and EPS using sequencing batch reactor at low temperature

Sequencing batch bioreactor(SBR) was used to treat slaughter wastewater in order to investigate the effect of DO on the removal efficiency of N,P and EPS mass concentration at low temperature(7-15 ℃).The results show that when the mixed liquor suspended solids mass concentration(MLSS),pH and SRT are 3 000 mg/L,6.5-8.0 and 20 d,respectively,EPS is 503.5 mg/L,and the removal efficiencies of TN and TP are maintained at 79.4% and 80.8% respectively if DO 2 mg/L.When DO is 2-3 mg/L,EPS is 544.2 mg/L,and the removal efficiencies of TN and TP are 78.5% and 89.32% respectively.When DO is 3-5 mg/L,and with the increasing of DO,the removal efficiency of TN is gradually decreased to 61.77%,the removal efficiency of TP is maintained at 85.5%,and EPS is improved to 578.4 mg/L.
