Analysis of Blast Furnace Slag Quenching Dry Granulation Process

DAI Xiao-tian,QI Yuan-hong,ZHANG Chun-xia,XU Hai-chuan,YAN Ding-liu,HONG Yi-cheng(State Key Laboratory of Advanced Steel Processing and Products,Central Iron andSteel Research Institute,Beijing 100081,China)  
Three types of BF slag quenching dry granulation process including drum granulation,air blast granulation and centrifugal granulation(rotary cup atomizer),which have been subjected to industrial test were introduced.The advantage and disadvantage of those processes were analyzed.The effects of energy saving,water conservation and(sulphide) emission reduction caused by dry granulation process were estimated.The key point of slag quenching dry granulation process was also proposed.
