Ten of them had died.54 of 82 came from other provinces, mainly from the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, 28(34.15%) of them were overseas Chineses. The infection persons were mostly aged from 20 to 40. The blood transmission (64.63% ) was the main pattern for them. Be- fore 1998, the infection persons were mainly overseas Chinese but after 1999 were mainly floating population from Xinjiang. The investigation indicated that the HIV infection persons in Wenzhou were mainly floating population, and so it was urgent to take appropriate measures to control further transmission of HIV.
