Effects of environmental tobacco smoke exposure during pregnancy on pregnancy outcome and offspring's health

In China,the rate of active smoking of women is low,but the rate of environmental tobacco smoke(ETS) exposure is relatively higher.ETS exposure of pregnant women not only endangers themselves,but also the embryonic development.This exposure has serious pregnancy outcomes,including abortion,stillbirth,intrauterine growth retardation,preterm delivery,low immune function,birth defects,mental retardation,and so on.In the forward,it will cause offspring susceptible to asthma,cancer,mental illness,and so on.In order to arouse people's more attention,this article mainly review the endangerment of ETS exposure of pregnant women from the two aspects of recent and forward.
