Analysis and Calculation of Flexural Strength of RC Members Strengthened with CFRP Sheet

Ye Lieping\ Cui Wei\ Yue Qingrui et al.( 3 )  
Based on the experimental researches on the flexural behaviors of reinforced concrete members strengthened with carbon fiber reinforced polymer(CFRP)sheet, the failure modes, ultimate flexural limit states and design requirements are discussed. With theoretical method based on the assumption of plane section, the influence of steel reinforcement ratio, CFRP amount and initial loading level on the flexural strength is analyzed. With the analyzed results, a practical calculation method for the flexural strength is suggested. The calculation results agree with the test results with reasonable reliability.
