Structural design of super high-rise twin-tower with the large chassis

The elastic analysis and Pushover analysis under the frequent earthquake were carried out on the super high-rise twin-tower with the large chassis. The results show that the vibration of the twin-tower with the large chassis has some correlativity. The period and vibration mode of the twin-tower can not be compared with that of any single-tower. The enveloping result of design should be carried out on single-tower and twin-tower. The seismic performance objectives of the structure need to be raised,and the seismic grades of the tower,the podium and the basement between the twin-tower should be raised. The axial compression ratio of vertical components should be controlled. The thickness and reinforcement of the slab between the tower and the podium should be increased to transfer the horizontal seismic action.
