Study on the Special Problems in Application of Linear Motor in Computer Numerical Control Machine Tools

Linear motor is an ideal components of the modern computer numerical control(CNC) machine tools for high-speed and high-precision.It can accomplish the linear movement without any intermediate conversion device.In view of the application in CNC machine tools,the special problems were discussed,including the type selection of linear motor,connection of machine structure,heating and cooling of the motor,choice of rail,lightening of the table and so on.The end effects of the linear motor,measures against magnetic, normal force and the servo control strategies were analyzed as well as other related particular questions.The corresponding reasonable solutions to the above problems were proposed.
