The Motion Model Building and Experiment of a Precision Curve Grinder

Based on the relative motion of each platform of the grinder,the workpiece coordinate system was set as a reference,the movement of the grinding wheel was split into three directions of tangential,normal and rotation,which represented separately the parallel move of middle and lower tables,and the rotation of upper table.The common motion model of grinder was built and simulated.The machining error of model was analyzed,and the normal deviation between machining curve and theoretical curve was used to characterize the part accuracy,the peak to peak value of normal deviation was used to characterize the curve profile.The simulation experiments of a workpiece were conducted with the curve profile of 3.3 μm.So precision machining of special workpieces is realized.
