The study of calculation for complex fault in power system

Based on the phase sequence parameter transformation technique and the multi-dimensional Thevenin theorem, a new method for calculating port current in complex fault of electric power system is presented in detail in this paper. This method adopts the fault admittance matrix, which not only solves the fault calculation with different transition resistance but also releases the works searching and storing the fault admittance matrix; Comparing with the fault impedance matrix , it is more generalized and simpler. The method is suited to all kinds of simple fault and complex fault, and also suited to various faults with different fault transition resistance. It has been proved to be accurate by a numerical example.
